Fr. Peter Quro

Fr. Peter, a dedicated Holy Cross educator and Chaplain at St. Joseph Secondary School, plays a key role in the students' spiritual and moral development. As patron of the Laudato Club, he promotes environmental stewardship and sustainability, inspiring students to protect the planet. His wisdom, compassion, and commitment make him a cherished figure in the school community.

Youth at St. Joseph SSS embody the spirit of Laudato Si', actively engaging in environmental initiatives and fostering a culture of care for our common home. Inspired by St. Joseph’s dedication and stewardship, they champion sustainability, innovate green solutions, and lead by example, striving to create a more just and eco-friendly world.

The school has done so much to reduce material waste through their recycling programs: Club members implement recycling programs to reduce waste and encourage their school community to segregate recyclable materials like paper, plastic, glass, and metal. They also organize competitions to see which class can collect the most recyclables. More so they move out to teach the neighboring community about the importance of managing material waste, they collect plastics from the community and return to them dust bins made of plastic bottles.
