EWTN News Nightly reported ” A priest from the University of Notre Dame, Fr. Emmanuel Katongole, has witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking destruction of forests in his home country of Uganda, a nation where 85% of the population depends on agriculture to survive.

Years of civil war and the AIDS epidemic have left a generation without the skills to farm or care for the land. In response, Fr. Katongole founded the Bethany Land Institute a bold, faith-filled initiative that combines environmental restoration, education, and spirituality.
