Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S Laudato Si Club and the Laudato Youth Initiative are drawing inspiration from Avail Fruits of Faith Farm, a leading example of sustainable agriculture, innovation, and youth empowerment in Uganda. Operated by the Avail Group, Fruits of Faith Farm offers practical training, eco-restorative activities, tours, and seedlings—creating an accessible model for young people to learn sustainable farming and environmental stewardship.

Fruits of Faith Farm is much more than a working farm: it is a demonstration garden and living classroom where innovative agricultural practices are shared with youths, farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities. Through its demonstration gardens, the farm teaches the importance of irrigation technology, crop protection methods, and the creation of micro-climates that help combat climate change.

One of the farm’s core contributions is its hands-on training and tours. Visitors especially young people are invited to experience sustainable farming in action. Through workshops, demonstrations, and training courses, participants learn how to increase yields, manage crops responsibly, and understand ecological systems that underpin food security and environmental health.

Beyond training, Fruits of Faith Farm promotes eco-tourism and experiential learning. The farm offers camping retreats and guided tours that immerse visitors in nature, encouraging appreciation of biodiversity and environmental care while enjoying fresh air and natural surroundings.

The farm also supports practical agricultural development through its Garden Kitchen Café, where produce grown on site is transformed into snacks and drinks, and visitors can interact with farmers, ask questions, and purchase fresh vegetables grown using sustainable methods.

Importantly, the Avail Group’s approach is rooted in knowledge sharing and community empowerment. Beyond providing farming equipment, seedlings, and produce, the organization offers professional consultancy and advice to new farmers, start-ups, and communities, helping them become self-sufficient and pursue agricultural livelihoods with confidence.

The impact of Fruits of Faith Farm is already visible in collaborations with initiatives like the Laudato Youth Initiative, where young people gain exposure to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. Through farm visits and shared programs, youth learn how sustainable farming practices can combat poverty, increase food security, and build leadership skills for ecological action.

For young people eager to learn about agriculture and ecological care, Fruits of Faith Farm stands as a living model—reminding them that the path to sustainability begins with knowledge, practical experience, and a willingness to nurture the earth. By engaging with farms like this, youth are empowered not only with skills, but with a deeper connection to creation and community resilience.
