The Go Green Laudato Club of Nairobi’s in its commitment to promoting and amplifying voices for Environmental protection, organized a hybrid online conference.

On October 10th, Kenya commemorates Mazingira Day, a significant occasion dedicated to raising environmental awareness. In honor of this day, the Go Green Laudato Club of Nairobi partnered with Holycross Family Ministries Kenya to host a seminar focused on the crucial theme: “The Role of Youth and Faith-Based Organizations in Climate Change Advocacy and Environmental Conservation.”

The seminar featured insightful discussions led by the chair of the Integrity and Transparency Club from Maseno University, who facilitated engaging sessions aimed at inspiring young participants to take an active role in climate action. The event served as a platform to emphasize the importance of youth engagement in environmental initiatives, highlighting that the future of our planet hinges on the actions we take today.

The Laudato Youth Initiative plays a pivotal role in amplifying the voices of young individuals within the framework of faith-based organizations dedicated to unit for climate action by fostering a sense of stewardship and responsibility, this initiative encourages young people to advocate for faith inspired practices that promote sustainability and environmental justice inspires by the Catholic Social Teachings, SDG 13 and Laudato Si.
