Our Lady of the Visitation, you who left in haste towards the mountain to meet Elizabeth, lead us also to meet all those who await us to deliver them the living Gospel: Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord! We will go in a hurry, with no distraction or delay, but with readiness and joy. We will go peacefully, because those who take Christ take peace, and welldoing is the best wellbeing. Our Lady of the Visitation, with your inspiration, this World Youth Day will be the mutual celebration of the Christ we take, as You once did. Make it a time of testimony and sharing, fraternization, and giving thanks, each of us looking for the others who always wait. With you, we will continue on this path of gathering, so that our world will gather as well, in fraternity, justice and peace. Help us, Our Lady of the Visitation, to bring Christ to everyone, obeying the Father, in the love of the Spirit!
ARE YOU READY FOR World Youth Day (WYD) Laudato Youth are!
We are less than a month away from WYD in Lisbon Portugal! Being part of the hug number of young people around the world excited and preparing to experience this great gathering with Pope Francis and respond to his message of Laudato Si that invites us to care for our common home because there is no other like it. Laudato Youth Initiative will amplify voices of young people to use this time as an opportunity to pray for our world that is being plundered by our actions and take action to mitigate challenge. We shall begin our World Youth Day event with the celebration of a Laudato Si Mass led by the Laudato Club of Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S Jinja Uganda on 9th July 2023.
Laudato Club Members will unite with their school community to pray for a climate just world and a climate responsive people. Join us for a #WasteFreeJuly and Raising voices for #GreenJuly and a #WasteFreeJuly. We shall also have social media awareness campaigns from our different Laudato Youth leaders encouraging re use of plastics and tree planting as part of our commitment to the environment and waste reduction, help protect our planet.
