LSiC Fort Portal Diocese National Youth Conference (Gulu) Activities 9th -14th Dec
Last year, the National Youth Conference was hosted by Hoima Catholic Diocese, which falls under the Mbarara Ecclesiastical province. It was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Bujumbura Cathedral in Hoima City and our Laudato Si Club took an active role.
This year the conference, will takes place at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, under the theme “You Also Are My Witnesses, Because You Have Been With Me” (John 15:27).

National Youth Conference 2025 Gulu is an event will bring together Catholic Youths across Uganda from 9-14 December 2025 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Parish Gulu. Our Laudato Si Club of Fort Portal Diocese will be in attendance. Addressing journalists at his residence on the preparations, the Archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese, Raphael P’Mony Wokorach noted that the national youth conference presents an opportunity for both young and old Christians to grow in faith and to learn from Christ.
Bishop Muhiirwa Distributes 20,000 Coffee Plantlets to Boost Household Income
In a bid to promote household income generation within the Catholic Diocese of Fort Portal, the Bishop of Fort Portal, Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert K. Muhiirwa Akiiki, has distributed over 20,000 Robusta coffee plantlets to various groups, including educational institutions and parishes.
The distribution event took place at St. Adolf Ongoing Formation Centre, Mukabura, where the Bishop encouraged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the November rains to plant the seedlings.
